NEXT SHOW - Eleanor Ellis & Ash Devine

Eleanor and Ash are both accomplished guitar pickers, each bringing their own unique guitar styles and specialties, and together blending seamlessly across the folk, old time, roots, and blues genres. Together, their voices blend with effortless tonal compatibility as they trade harmonies, while their fingerstyle guitar duets and trading of solos create a timeless and heartfelt demonstration of the tradition of a multi-generational musical collaboration.

Eleanor Ellis a native of Louisiana, is a celebrated master of the country and piedmont blues genres, and a connoisseur of the folk and bluegrass traditions. Eleanor has been performing internationally since the 1970’s, accompanying late greats such as Flora Molton and Eugene Powell, and collaborating with contemporary blues masters such as Phil Wiggins and Andy Cohen.

Born and raised in the blue ridge mountain region of southwestern VA, Ash Devine lived in Asheville, NC for over 17 years where she developed her songwriting career and delved into her roots in the Appalachian folk music traditions. She plays an eclectic blend of country blues, Carter family, contemporary and trad. folk and bluegrass, and Americana originals. From 2007 to 2014 Ash Devine traveled internationally with activist Patch Adams, M.D. to perform in medical facilities, orphanages, social service centers, and nursing homes.
